This course is designed for women with little or no firearms experience.
Specific instruction to include:
Gun safety rules, safe gun handling and firing range procedures.
Basic firearms information to include:
A) types of firearms (handguns, shotguns and rifles).
B) Choosing a gun that's right for you.
C) The purchase, use, trans- portation and storage of firearms.
Handgun Laws
Cost: $60.00
A California HSC certificate will be available for those completing the class for $20.00.
(required for anyone wishing to purchase a handgun in California)
Bring:
Writing material
Eye and ear protection*
Firearm and ammunition*
Please advise instructor in advance of any personal firearm you intend to bring.
* Guns, safety glasses and hearing protection are available at the range for sale or rent.
Each student will fire a class supplied 9 mm pistol and a .38 revolver.
(Average cost of ammunition: $20 for 50 rounds)
