THE
RANGE
offers the classes required to obtain a new Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW)
permit, or to renew your permit. Upon successful completion of the
class, our certified instructors will issue a certificate which is
accepted by the Sheriffs of Placer, Sierra, Eldorado and Nevada counties.
New
CCW Permit Class
This 8-hour class is required for applicants for a new Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. The student will learn the fundamentals of handling handguns including safety, familiarization, firearm laws and shooting qualification. This class is required in order to obtain a New CCW, but taking the class does NOT guarantee you will receive one. That decision will be made by the issuing authority (Sheriff, Chief of Police, etc.)

of the handguns you plan to list on your CCW Permit (3 maximum), safety

Renew
CCW Permit Class
This 4-hour
class is required to renew a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. The
student will review the fundamentals of handling handguns including safety,
familiarization, firearm laws and shooting qualification.
