THE
RANGE is conveniently located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada
Mountains, just outside of the community of Grass Valley. It is a
modern indoor shooting facility with ten 25-yard handgun and four 50-yard
rifle-shooting lanes. The sand backstop allows any caliber firearm
to be fired - with the exception of black powder guns, due to the smoke
they produce. For all of your shooting accessories, we also have a
fully stocked retail store.
Memberships
THE RANGE is open to the public, and
memberships are available for those "frequent shooters" who desire
them.
Hours *
We are open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11:00
AM until 7:00 PM. Saturdays, our hours are 9:00 until 5:00. We are
closed Sundays and Mondays.
* Note: The shooting ranges will close approximately 1 hour prior to store closing to allow for cleaning and maintenance.
Range
Fees
Use
of the range is $10.00 per hour for the handgun range, and $15.00 per hour
for the rifle range. Someone sharing your lane pays 1/2 the price
of your lane. We have a great selection of handguns and a rifle for
rent at a modest price while you are here.
Discount
Days
From
11:00 AM until 5:00 PM, the following may shoot for half the regular fee
on special days: Tuesdays - active law enforcement members, Wednesdays -
ladies, and Thursdays - seniors (55+).
Safety
Firearm safety is the first, foremost and most important
item stressed at THE RANGE. You will find this to be
true in the actions of our staff, as well as in all of our classes.
